A Heartfelt Thank You to the Martin Luther King Jr. School Community
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the students, teachers, and staff at the Martin Luther King Jr. School for welcoming me so warmly during my recent Author Talk with the Kindergarten through Second Grade classes. It was truly a wonderful experience spending time with such bright, curious, and enthusiastic young learners.
From the moment I arrived, I felt the excitement and energy in the school. The students were not only attentive and well-behaved, but they also asked thoughtful and engaging questions throughout the presentation. Their curiosity about music, storytelling, and the inspiration behind Happy Music: A New Orleans Jazz Story made the visit especially meaningful. Seeing their faces light up as we talked about jazz, rhythm, and storytelling reminded me why I love sharing this story with young readers.
It was an honor to visit the Martin Luther King Jr. School, and I look forward to staying connected with this amazing school community. Thank you again for welcoming me, for your enthusiasm, and for making this Author Talk such a joyful and memorable experience.
